- Good understanding of machine learning algorithms and deep networks used in these areas
- Enthusiasm in engineering the machine learning pipelines and making contribution ranging from model implementation to on-device optimization and testing
- Experience in C++ and Python
- Experience using machine learning toolboxes (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Caffee)
- Experience with Augmented/Virtual Reality devices and applications
- Experience in development, incl. testing and debugging on XR devices, mobile platforms or other embedded systems
- Experience in DSP optimizations
- Excellent C++ and object-oriented programming
- Real-time Computer graphics
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or other related programs.
- Be part of a world-class XR team researching and developing mobile Augmented and Virtual Reality enabling technology
- Understand and analyze requirements for perception systems for XR platforms

To scale and strengthen our offering in this domain, the Qualcomm XR Lab team in Europe is seeking candidates to investigate and develop the fundamental perception systems enabling self-contained XR platforms. We are looking for innovators who will push the boundaries of mobile perception technology to offer a comprehensive platform to our customers.We are hiring at our XR Labs Europe locations in Austria, France, Netherlands and Spain.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ months of experience developing and/or optimizing machine learning models, systems, platforms, or methods.Job Function / General Responsibilities:
Candidates bring a deep understanding of engineering pipelines and solutions of computer vision and machine learning algorithms and technologies that are necessary building blocks of interactive, real-time, and immersive systems, including 3D scene understanding, human pose tracking, sensor fusion and mathematical optimization. They also preferably have experience in systems design and implementations for real-time embedded and mobile platforms.
