Job Description

- Operate machinery to assist in the production process ensuring quality and conformity products
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
- Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
- Monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Watch and identify simple mechanical problems to be communicated to the Lead or Supervisor. May conduct certain levels of troubleshooting.
- Oversee machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction, as well as stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished work pieces
- Follow quality procedure by inspecting the part. Execute and document quality inspections to make sure all the materials needed for operating are readily available and logically arranged for the production process
- Perform change overs, by changing tools and programs, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in continuous improvement environment
- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
- Train other team members on the operation, quality, changeover, troubleshooting, and any new processes
- Fill in required documents and reports in a timely manner
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow and comply with all safety and health regulations
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting, set-up and inspect machines
- Ability to read, interpret and follow work instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to use good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to understand and follow procedures, work instructions and company policies
- Capable to train other team members on the operation, changeover, and troubleshooting process
- Understanding of production and plant processes
- Practice good housekeeping and safety

The Opportunity
Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Machine Operator 2 position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks such as cycling product through machines, set up/ startup operations, monitor, troubleshoot, and make changeovers on assigned machines. To produce and deliver a quality product in a timely manner for internal and external customers. Eliminates scrap and additional costs using zero defects methods. To always work in a safe manner following the safety policies, housekeeping and environmental policies and work instructions. Machines located throughout sheetmetal, coils, paint, tubing/wiring and assembly.
