Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a state-of-the-art production facility that manufacture passports, travel documents, and CRA documents that require embossment and binding. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process by setting up machines with raw materials, operating the machinery to produce high-quality products, conducting brief visual inspections to ensure quality standards, and packaging the finished items for the shipping department. Each job lot comes with an estimated completion time, so you should be adept at reviewing tasks and efficiently multi-tasking to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines with raw materials.
• Load and produce products.
• Perform brief visual inspections of the products.
• Package finished products for the shipping department.
• Review job lots and multi-task as needed.

Essential Skills

• 4 years of experience working as a bindery clerk in a relevant field (slitting, cutting, set-up).
• Proficiency in using standard printing tools (cutter, stitcher, embosser, hot press, industrial laminator).
• Ability to obtain secret-level clearance.
• Mechanical aptitude and machine operating skills.
• Experience with corrugated print press and die cutting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual (French is an asset but not necessary).
• Experience with foil stamping, chip laying, or laser cutting is a plus.
