      Details of the role and how it fits into the team

      The macOS engineering team, part of the CTO (Chief Technology Office) division, is responsible for architecting and delivering a standard macOS build across the Apple hardware range, with a focus on automation, centralized management and reporting. The team leads the development of macOS standards and build process flows for Apple Mac hardware, including base operating system support, security guidelines or application packaging. The team loosely follows the Scrum Agile model and is structured into delivery teams (squads) that are each accountable for a specific set of technologies.

      In this role, you will be able to inspire and influence modern device management for macOS users. This function defines global software and hardware standards for macOS devices (1.5k+ devices) as well as macOS configuration and updates.

      Your key responsibilities

      • Design and build deployment solutions across our macOS platforms

      • Manage test plans across environments

      • Analyse requirements and plan enhancements as well as their execution accordingly

      • Create KB articles for L1 and L2 operations teams

      • Provide L3 support for production issues

      • Liaise with peers in other infrastructure teams to align strategy and functionality

      Your skills and experiences

      • Degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience

      • Deep understanding of Apple macOS and of Apple hardware and architecture

      • Solid knowledge of Enterprise MDM (Jamf or Intune) for all Apple OS’s; experience managing complex Jamf environments of 500+ devices

      • Scripting ability

      • Excellent English skills (verbal and written)
