      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage a portfolio of cases to determine MaineCare recoupment amounts and communicate this information to relevant parties
      - Review, interpret, and process cases in compliance with state and federal regulations
      - Research and generate reports related to medical claims for deceased MaineCare members
      - Negotiate recovery liens with attorneys and personal representatives to recover MaineCare funds
      - Consult with senior management and legal representatives as needed to resolve complex cases

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
      - One (1) year of experience in healthcare insurance or a related field
      - Knowledge of MaineCare or other healthcare insurance benefits and medical terminology
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems
      - Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with the Medicaid program and health services for low-income populations
      - Lived experience with Medicaid and health-related social needs
      - Familiarity with claims-based applications for researching claims history
      - Demonstrated ability to interpret rules, regulations, and policies
