      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage a portfolio of cases to determine MaineCare recoupment amounts and provide information to heirs, attorneys, and courts
      - Review and interpret state and federal regulations to ensure compliance in processing cases
      - Research and generate reports related to medical claims for deceased MaineCare members
      - Negotiate recovery liens with attorneys and personal representatives to reclaim MaineCare funds
      - Consult with management and legal representatives on complex case resolutions

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
      - One (1) year of experience in healthcare insurance or a related insurance field
      - Knowledge of MaineCare or other healthcare insurance benefits, medical codes, and terminology
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems for report generation
      - Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service abilities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with the Medicaid program and/or other health and human services programs for low-income populations
      - Lived experience with Medicaid or health-related social needs common to individuals receiving Medicaid coverage
