Job Description
- Req#: R-8575
- Assists in establishing, organizing and maintaining the maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
- Collaborates with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize repairs or rebuilds during the shutdown.
- Develops cost and time estimates for smaller maintenance jobs and projects.
- Coordinates maintenance services for mobile and communication equipment.
- Plan, organize and control activities related to the procurement function for the site.
- Ensure all vendors and contracts are approved per, PRP-009 requirements.
- Set up new vendors and contractors that meet the company guidelines utilizing our internal approval process.
- Basic forklift operation for shipping, receiving and warehousing of parts.
- Works with the trades to understand and confirm requirements for supply of maintenance items and services in accordance with approved plans. Facilitate other departmental parts requests as needed.
- Build and develop a professional relationship with vendors and contractors that provide essential products and services to our site. Organizes and maintains cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Order and maintain spare parts inventory.
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance processes.
- Solid and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to add suggestions to copies of manuals and documentation.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints or drawings is considered an asset
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years experience preferably in an industrial or food processing environment, two (2) of which have been in maintenance and purchasing and one (1) in maintenance planning.
