- Perform regular inspections to detect and address potential issues.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and component replacement.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Respond swiftly to equipment failures and emergencies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint and resolve technical problems.
- Recommend and implement changes to boost efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Assist with implementation and installation of new equipment.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and replacements.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime.
- Ensure adherence to maintenance protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field
- Proficiency with diagnosing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with PLC, hydraulics, motors, and industrial maintenance
- Proficiency in maintenance management
- Strong electrical and troubleshooting skills

Seeking a Maintenance Engineer to assist with optimizing the performance and dependability of machinery and facilities. This position involves conducting routine maintenance, diagnosing issues, and implementing enhancements to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency. The role requires collaboration with engineering and operations teams to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This is a first shift position, Monday-Friday.

Work Environment
Will need to have a passport and be able to travel internationally 10% of the time. The position entails working in an industrial environment with occasional exposure to damp conditions and hazardous substances. Employees may encounter airborne particles, fumes, and work near moving machinery, which poses a risk of electrical shock. The noise level is generally high. Safety gear will be provided. The production floor is hot and humid. The company has been around for almost 200 years and is a main producer of steel horseshoes for the North American market, focusing mainly on riding and sport horse segments. The facility runs 5 lines, each consisting of a robot manufacturing horseshoes, with 1 Operator, 1 Supervisor, and 2 Leads per line. The maintenance department includes 1 supervisor, 1 lead, 1 facilities, and 7 people in total. 90% of the work will be in the production area, with 50% being preventative and 50% reactive. Troubleshooting accounts for 50% of the work, mechanical 40%, and electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic 10%.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $84000.00/yr.
