      MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - 1st Shift

      Kraftmaid - Plant 2 is looking for a first shift maintenance supervisor. The supervisor will report to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager and be responsible for overseeing maintenance technicians and production machine cleaning crew. They will be responsible for providing a safe and reliable manufacturing environment, with the main focus being on production equipment up time and continuous improvement.

      We’re looking for an individual that has maintenance experience in both mechanical / electrical troubleshooting and repair in a manufacturing environment. In addition to overseeing the maintenance technicians, we’re looking for someone who can coach and share their expertise to develop their employees.       - This position pays shift differential as well as being bonus eligible.

      - 1st Shift – Monday-Thursday, 10 Hr. shift

      Key responsibilities:

      • Supervise maintenance technicians and three machine cleaners.
      • Work with production supervisors, production personnel and maintenance personnel to ensure the facility and equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
      • Plan, prioritize, supervise, review and participate in the maintenance of the plant including repair and installation of all electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
      • Interpret and use the following for troubleshooting purposes: piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment drawings, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
      • Work closely with Maintenance and Engineering Manager, Maintenance Planner, and Plant Engineer to execute critical PM activities in order to maximize equipment uptime and improve internal customer service.
      • Ensure repairs and maintenance to equipment and facilities are completed in a safe, efficient manner while strictly adhering to OSHA / EPA regulations.
      • Interact with employees and manufacturing floor supervisors to document efficiencies and/or improvement opportunities across the entire facility.
      • Lead, coach, and provide paths for improvement for all Maintenance Department personnel.
      • Assign corrective and preventive maintenance tasks through computerized maintenance management system.
      • Minimize equipment downtime while assuring their safe operation.
      • Ensure 6s, visual management, and standardization of all Maintenance Department areas.
      • Become proficient in our CMMS work order system (Limble).
      • Actively participate in continuous improvement / 6s activities.
      • Maintain time and attendance for direct reports through Kronos.
      • Authorized lock-out tag-out employee

      Job Requirements / Qualifications:

      • Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment or high school diploma with 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
      • Strong technical and leadership skills: Ability to lead, motivate and develop others; able to prioritize tasks, coordinate, and direct technicians and teams.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills: Ability to promote / maintain cooperative relationships among employees, peers and supervisors.
      • Good problem solver: Resilient when facing time sensitive, challenging situations and holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
      • PLC Programming/Troubleshooting knowledge is beneficial.
      • Full understanding of the LOTO concepts and its application: Method, devices, and instructions used to lockout-tagout machinery.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical environment – results oriented
      • Experience with lean manufacturing tools and methodologies including 6s and standardized work is beneficial.
      • Complete understanding of his / her role as an internal customer service liaison.
      • Basic computer skills in the following are required: MS Word, MS Excel, email, and CMMS.
      • Must be willing to learn additional internal software applications.
      • Must have a valid driver license.
