Immediately hiring several Maintenance Technicians in Philadelphia, PA
We're hiring a Maintenance Technician for a premier Food & Beverage Manufacturing Company in Philadelphia, PA.
This is a contract to hire opportunity and we're hiring immediately. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of manufacturing equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in food or pharma manufacturing environment.

What we offer:
Shift/Pay: 5 Days a week (Candidates must be comfortable working OT including occasional weekends)
1st Shift 7:00AM - 3:30PM@ Monday-Friday
2nd Shift 3:00PM - 11:30PM@ Monday-Friday
3rd Shift 11:00PM - 7:30AM@ Sunday-Thursday
Pay Rate $33.00-35.00 depending on experience
$2.00 Shift differential for 2nd/3rd shift
Description
Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing machines and providing support regarding the usage of machines and electrical components and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Installs, maintains, and performs repairs on high speed packaging equipment, mechanical components such as valves and piping, and electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, AC and DC motors, variable frequency drives, sensors, PLCs and HMIs, and other electrical systems.
Respond to and correct breakdowns promptly, communicate effectively with operators to assist in diagnosis, and prevent future issues
Performs daily, weekly, monthly and semi-annual maintenance work including regular Preventive Maintenance on high speed packaging equipment.
Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdowns in a timely manner.
Develops knowledge and familiarity with mechanical / electrical drawings for equipment and plant infrastructure.
Proficient with basic hand / power tools, measuring devices, and electrical testing.
Assist in set-ups, changeovers and start-up adjustments of equipment as necessary.
Performs other duties as directed by management personnel.
Ability to be self sufficient with minimal to no guidance.
Must be able to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
Maintains cleanliness of the work area.
Other duties may be assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
High-school diploma or equivalent, as well as some form of technical school is required.
3 to 5 years experience in a similar role is required.
Associates degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology and/or three or more years’ experience in a hands-on technical role is preferred.
Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, industrial refrigeration is preferred.
Basic fabrication skills such as welding, cutting, grinding, and machine work is a plus.
Experience in HVAC; welding, electronics, electrical repairs, industrial equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs is a plus
Proficiency with computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with CMMS systems is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.50 - $40.00/hr.
