What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Negotiate contracts with managed care companies and health plans
- Provide advanced analytics to support financial performance goals for contracts
- Interpret managed care contracts and develop contract modeling calculations
- Manage and maintain contract records and provide updates to staff
- Query EMR and Practice Management Systems to gather data for analysis
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or healthcare administration preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years of overall work experience, with at least 2 years in analytic roles within the healthcare industry
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and concepts
- Proficiency in financial impact analysis and advanced Excel functions
- Understanding of Medicaid and Medicare programs and payer contract language
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with payer credentialing
- Familiarity with predictive modeling and data manipulation
