      The Opportunity

      Roche’s Contractor Managed Service Program is driving hiring and managing contractors in our largest contractor markets (US, Canada, Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom)* via external Managed Service Providers (MSP). The program is responsible for sourcing all contingent workforce into Roche for the given geography via a third party service (MSP). This role is responsible for the local management and ongoing enhancement of the MSP and for acting as a conduit between the service provider and our internal Roche customer base. Next to the local program management, the role contributes to the new Global Program which is co-led by P&C and Global Procurement. It is aiming at innovating and potentially expanding the program while optimizing how we manage contractor spend. Evolving the current MSP Program to navigate the evolving business landscape and to proactively shape Roche’s external workforce to be future ready, working with new technologies and cross-functional partners offers great learning opportunities.

      As a member of the Integrated Workforce Strategies Chapter in People & Culture (P&C), the Local MSP Program Partner provides subject matter expertise with regards to the global MSP program strategy and contractor hiring and management at a local level (e.g. recruiting practices, co-employment risks, local & legal specifics). They coordinate the Managed Service Provider at a local level to embed the global strategy at a local level and to act as a contact person for the Site/Country Leadership team and the MSP, identifying & channeling evolving business needs & feedback to the local MSP, and assessing their performance

      Responsibilities:

      • Support MSP Program Evolution in close collaboration with the Global MSP Program Co-Leads in P&C and Global Procurement

      • Lead the relationship with the MSP locally - in the Global Program framework -and engage/manage local stakeholders

      • Manage agencies according to local processes

      • Drive overall process and compliance of the MSP Program in country

      • Coordinate the creation and maintenance of program reporting with the MSP and addressing data issues that arise sustainably, especially when they also impact processes

      Who You Are

      • Bachelor’s degree in the field of business administration, human resources or workforce management or similar (exceptionally qualified applicants with many years of relevant experience but without a Bachelor’s degree are also encouraged to apply)

      • 4 years of experience/expertise in External Workforce and Contingent Workforce programs or talent acquisition in the respective market

      • Strong system thinking, OneRoche mindset and coordinating cross-functional teams/collaboration

      • Awareness of legal implications and related risks to our workforce (esp. co-employment risks related to external workforce, change/transformation advisory)

      • Consulting (diagnosing, analytical skills, critical thinking) and problem solving skills. Influencing & stakeholder engagement skills, customer centric mindset

      • Preferably, data acumen and awareness of P&C (e.g. Job Profiles) and Finance Data (e.g. Purchase Orders) as well as awareness & understanding of Fieldglass or other Vendor Management Solutions

      • Flexibility to adapt to different needs (e.g. short and longer term), navigating ambiguity in complex environments and changing strategic priorities, pragmatic mindset (e.g. trade-offs between product features, quality and timeliness)

      • Ideally, work experience in matrixed, global and strategic settings

      The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is between $100,870 and $187,330. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
