Job summary
The Personal Assistant works closely with the Co-Practice Managers, helping them to manage their workload and free up their time by providing administrative support. The PA must be able to work under pressure and manage their own workload effectively using their own initiative.
This is new and exciting opportunity and therefore the role and responsibilities will evolve over time.
Main duties of the job
General administrative duties, data entry, word processing, scanning, processing and recording information as per practice standard operating procedures.
Organising, attending and minuting meetings as appropriate
Replying to emails and post
Screening phone calls and dealing with enquiries where appropriate
Run clinical searches/audits where appropriate
Complete monthly claims/invoicing for Practice and PCN work including but not limited to Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), Enhanced Access, Care Home Beds, Clinical Waste, Enhanced Services, Rent, Business Rates etc.
Support monthly payroll and keep organised records
Process invoices ensuring timely payments
Organising and maintaining office systems
Manage rotas and absences in the Co-Managers absence
Provide general assistance to the Co-Practice Managers and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Any other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the role.
About us
Driffield is a market town in the East Riding of Yorkshire surrounded by the picturesque wolds, with easy links to nearby York and Beverley and is approximately 10 miles from the beautiful Yorkshire coastline.
The main surgery is located in Driffield town centre with a branch surgery in the village of Wetwang 6 miles west of Driffield. It is a semi-rural practice with 12,200 patients.
We dispense to approximately 50% of our patients from Driffield and Wetwang.
