      Manager Benefits & Wellness

      Position Summary:

      The Manager Benefits & Wellness is responsible for the oversight and evolution of health and wellness strategic vision that incorporates physical, financial, emotional, and social support for Crewmembers and their families. The Manager will have direct responsibility for managing a team of health and wellness resources and will provide collaboration and integration support to key stakeholders to achieve agreed-upon health management and wellness initiatives and outcomes. The Manager will also be responsible for Health improvement, lifestyle risk management, health management, condition management, and strategic integration with other health and welfare benefits.

      Essential Responsibilities:

      • Oversee stakeholders to organize resources and develop plans for executing programs for Health & Wellness including health improvement, condition management and Crewmember engagement
      • Drive improvement of design processes, design documentation, project planning and generate design briefs to facilitate continuous improvement
      • Utilize social determinant information and outcomes data to partner with internal stakeholders and Business Partners in order to refine program strategy
      • Accountability for all health management and wellness programs to include health improvement, condition management and Crewmember engagement
      • Partner internally and with Business Partners to ensure integration of all health and wellness programs to include plan design
      • Design and implement programs and projects to facilitate continuous improvement
      • Lead company crewmember engagement program to assure alignment and appropriate sponsorship on an ongoing basis
      • Oversee communication strategy and implementation programs by partnering with internal communications and communications Business Partner for oversight and rollout
      • Oversee plan design changes
      • Oversee partnership with Resource Groups and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
      • Manage relationships, including sourcing and performance for all Health and Welfare Business Partners
      • Lead health and productivity strategic meetings
      • Manage programs to operating plan
      • Consult with workgroups on initiatives to drive cost and quality improvements, and customer service
      • Directs data, evaluation, and research to support best practices that address organization needs
      • Establish Business Partner performance management programs and measure and monitor results
      • Lead continuous improvement projects for Business Partners and direct reports
      • Monitor and measure results, including development of business operations and productivity metrics
      • Key point of contact for escalated issues for business operations and Crewmembers
      • Plan and Policy interpretation
      • Take a significant role in the development of Crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
      • Other duties as assigned

      Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree - preferred in health or wellness; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
      • Three (3) years of clinical/wellness program management experience via a wellness vendor or health carrier
      • Five (5) years’ experience in leadership, team development and people management
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      • Market knowledge of health and welfare trends
      • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
      • Ability to work independently and prioritize with thorough attention to detail
      • Collaborative approach to working with internal customers and experience managing external business partners
      • Available for occasional overnight travel (20%)
      • In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
      • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
      • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
      • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

      Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

      • Five (5) years’ experience with a health carrier or wellness vendor

      Crewmember Expectations:

      • Regular attendance and punctuality
      • Potential need to work and travel flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
      • Able to maintain a professional appearance
      • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
      • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun
      • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards
      • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
      • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
      • Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

      Work Environment:

      • Present for core hours but may increase based on fluctuating workload demands

      Physical Effort:

      • Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently (Sedentary)

      Compensation:

      • The base pay range for this position is between $95,000.00 and $145,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
