Job Description

- Interface with potential and existing vendors.
- Manages carrier relations to ensure that issues are resolves and reports are audited correctly.
- Produces communications, including open enrollment materials, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and any communication related to benefits program.
- Identifies system needs, including carrier file submissions and data integrity, and coordinates with I/S to implement requirements.
- Collaborate with Divisions to ensure successful implementation and management of programs.
- Stays abreast of industry changes for new benefit techniques and/or plans and makes recommendations to the Director and Vice-President.
- Analyze, cost and make recommendations regarding benefit changes.
- Assure compliance with the provisions of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA as well as all state and federal agencies including the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor.
- Provides staff development, retention and training.
- Knowledge of benefit plan administration, maintenance, compliance and administration.
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word and Access.
- Highly developed analytical and research skills.
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or professional designation strongly preferred.
- 8 years of benefits experience.
