General Summary of Position

The position is responsible and accountable for the deployment of Ansell Production System along with Lean Six Sigma, TPM, Industrial Engineering principles in Ansell Textiles Lanka and be the lead trainer in terms of TPM and IE for both Ansell Sri Lanka plants.

Responsibilities & Specific Accountabilities

1. Ansell Production System Deployment Lead at Ansell Textiles Lanka

a. Understand the key concepts, applications and relevance of IWS pillar

b. Train and coach the plant deployment teams

c. Strategic deployment plan and execution for all pillars

d. Routine reviews and engagement to ensure sustainable deployment of APS

e. Collaborate with pillar heads to ensure on time deliverable of all deployment milestones

f. Change management with key stakeholders

g. Request the leadership support and laisse with the sponsors in bridging the support gap

h. Gap analysis and project planning for the deployment milestones

i. Lead role in the respective subject matter expert in APS deployment.

2. Lead consultant for AM and PM pillar deployment for Ansell Sri Lanka

a. Develop AM & PM Zero Loss Journey

b. Standardize the AM pillar journey for Ansell

c. Lead trainer for TPM principles and develop the APS module with TPM expertise and deploy

d. Consult, calibrate and review AM and PM performance for Ansell Sri Lanka

3. Apply Industrial Engineering principles to optimize systems and processes, improve quality, and increase productivity and thereby develop the Ansell Production System (APS) aspects for labor intensive operations

a. Develop the sewing operation APS module by using the IE knowledge and experience

b. Deploy the lead model in APS for labor intensive operations

4. Lead LSSGB trainer

a. Develop training modules

b. Conduct LSS Green Belt, Yellow Belt, White Belt training

c. LSSGB project coach

5. APS budgetary management, business case review and P&L driven project management

a. Budgetary review of the APS deployment

b. Achieve APS business case and review when required

c. Identify the losses through VSM and initiate projects under APS framework to support P&L achievement

Key Position Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Lean Black Belt or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified.

• TPM certified

• Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering, and Lean principles.

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration (preferred)

• Financial management qualification (preferred)

• Integrated Work Systems experience (preferred)

Job Experience

§ 2 years plus experience in similar capacity and 5 years overall industry experience

§ Lean Six Sigma related experience

§ Project management experience in a manufacturing environment

§ Manufacturing industry exposure

§ Global/ Multinational organization work experience (preferred)

§ MS office professional level

§ Sinhala and English professional level

§ Minitab or similar statistical tool -professional level
