      Overview

      As the Manager - Central Marketing, you will develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns using traditional and digital marketing strategies and tactics. This also includes supporting company-wide initiatives that impact the central marketing team, including team special projects that support key business units in residential and business markets. In this role, you’ll test tactics, analyze results and research consumer and market trends to gain insight. Your analysis will help you make decisions and develop go-to-market strategies for our portfolio of products, including brand awareness launches. You’ll develop and roll out programs that increase customer satisfaction, add new customers, and cultivate additional business from existing customers. In this role, your responsibilities will align with company goals to grow revenue, strive for superior customer engagement, wisely manage budgets, and reach for opportunities that transform how we market to residential and business consumers.

      You will need to be a person with astute critical-thinking ability, exceptional listening and communication skills, sound decision-making and troubleshooting skills, detailed strategic planning capabilities, and aptitude for time-bound tactical execution. Other tasks include creating and submitting jobs and list requests (prospect and customer), proofing creative deliverables, reviewing and approving vendor invoices, detailed documentation and rollout of processes, and using CRM (Salesforce) and other marketing automation systems (Marketing Cloud).

      This is a highly collaborative role. You’ll work closely with your teammates to create and launch campaigns and initiatives. And in this role, you’ll build processes that a support seamless transition of initiatives among peers. You may also manage other projects of medium scope that require you to work across other teams, such as, product management, sales, field marketing and new fiber markets.

      The pay range listed for this position represents the low and high end of the base compensation range. However, the base pay rate offered for this position is expected to be $85,000 - $93,000 annually. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation.

      This position has the opportunity to work remotely.

      Responsibilities

      • Develop, execute, track, and analyze strategic marketing plans that support campaigns, company initiatives and special projects:
        • Analyze and identify target audiences, markets, and influential marketing channels
      • Plan the marketing strategy based on market insight
      • Analyze needs and develop, document, and launch a variety of initiatives that improve customer satisfaction, grow revenue, add new customers, cultivate additional business from existing customers
      • Schedule and oversee creation of traditional and digital marketing deliverables
      • Establish and manage product marketing campaigns, company initiatives, and project timelines
      • Allocate budgets, manage vendor invoices, and maintain ongoing budget
      • Analyze effectiveness and profitability of marketing strategies and tactics
      • Company Goal:
        • Support Company Initiatives/Special Projects, Focus on Customer Experience, Grow Revenue, Budget Management
          • Special company initiatives and marketing projects
          • Attend PAC meetings then discuss with marketing peers the relevance of projects to marketing. Collaborate and communicate next steps, representation, and responsibilities across the team
          • Manage marketing plans for projects that cross business units and residential and business consumer audiences (prospect and customer), for examples, TDS Mobile, Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) and QuickConnect
          • Collaborate and communicate with sales, marketing, product management, field marketing and other functional teams to develop, launch, and manage strategies, tactics and budgets

      Qualifications

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years of professional work experience.
      • 4+ years marketing, advertising, or product management experience.
      • 2+ years of experience with competitive marketing and branding strategy, working with in-house creative teams and/or managing external agencies.
      • 2+ years of experience with multi-channel marketing campaigns and tactics.

      Other Qualifications

      • Telecommunications or Cable experience preferred.
      • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
      • Broad working knowledge of pricing and/or promotional analysis and statistical reporting.
      • Ability to analyze sales and marketing initiatives for success, profitability, retention, and customer satisfaction.
      • Well-developed conceptual thinking skills including good intuition and the ability to make educated decisions based on customer needs.
      • Successful experience in project management, product management, and/or process administration.
      • Knowledge/background in the television, voice and data communications industry, its technology and applications, and customer base preferred, with capacity to learn quickly.
      • Familiarity with inbound and outbound telephone sales.
      • Excellent organizational skills.
      • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work with employees at all levels.
      • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
      • Experience using PC applications, including Excel, Word, Email, PowerPoint, Internet, and database software.

      Associates scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits such as vacation (15 days accrued per year for full-time; pro-rated for part-time associates working between 20-39 hours), sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates), seven paid national holidays and one floating holiday, paid parental leave (2 weeks after 12 months of employment), among others. Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability coverage is also available for associates working 30 or more hours per week and Education Assistance is available to full-time associates.
