Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Lead and inspire by example: hands-on, field-oriented leadership style that provides energy, passion and direction to the team
- Develop strategic sales plans and market assessments
- Set, forecast and monitor sales Lead sales team to execute on those goals
- Measure sales team productivity and ensure effective implementation of established strategies and tactics
- Mentor and continuously develop the overall capabilities of the direct sales organization
- Build and maintain executive level relationships with direct customers
- Work closely with Director, North America Sales on revenue planning
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, and HR leadership to design and implement annual sales commission plans
- Responsible for the successful promotion of all Data Innovations products
- Remain current on regulatory requirements and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the company's products, markets, and objectives as well as industry trends
- Deliver sales presentations of the company's products and solutions to customers
- Represent Data Innovations at tradeshows, workshops and educational events
- Solicit and provide feedback to product management on product enhancements
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 7+ years of experience in sales, 5+ years in sales management
- Knowledge and understanding of Medical laboratory operations and workflow, the roles of the laboratory information system, analytical and automation instrumentation and how they interoperate OR relevant healthcare industry experience
- Ability to learn new products and incorporate into existing offerings
- Proven record of driving sales growth
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong networking and executive selling skills
- Satisfy travel requirements (minimum 50% of travel required)
Education Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of relevant working experience in sales management OR at least 7 years relevant working experience
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: While performing duties of this job the employee is predominately working at customer locations, with the remainder of the time working from a home-based office.
Preferred skills and experience: In addition to the above requirements, the ideal employee/candidate will have experience with the following:
- Experience with a laboratory middleware, instrumentation, or information system vendor
- Experience with Regulatory Compliance
