- Responsible for communicating and working closely with Maintenance Support Team, Infrastructure Team and customers to efficiently coordinate and execute general plant repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Monitors and ensures site metrics (Control Tower) meet or exceed goals
- Ensures compliance with the Carpenters Union 721 and I.B.E.W. contracts
- Leads and participates in union negotiations
- Perform periodic assessments of RTX El Segundo buildings, and submit repair work orders to maintain the buildings in the highest state of readiness
- Respond to Customer Satisfaction Survey comments as required, to address concerns and issues that are identified by our customers
- Ensures written procedures are maintained and reviewed as necessary and adhered to
- Leads quality and safety audits
- Monitors department budgets and ensures annual budgets are met
- Hires and engages in employee development
- Works closely with HR for employee and Union issues
- Update and schedule employee training for all reports as outlined by RF&S (Raytheon Fire and Security) and EHS procedures
- Meet with staff to help develop plans and ideas for better service to our customer
- Ensure compliance with all Raytheon, Federal, State, and local codes regulations, standards and procedures
- Operational Experience with Industrial HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Building Systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with a CMMS system
- Willingness to work outside normal scheduled hours to complete projects and repairs on time and within budget with little or no prior notice.
- Able to be on call 24/7
- Experience with Contractor or Project Management
- Able to adapt quickly to changing requirements and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Understanding of OSHA requirements, and local/national codes and regulations concerning facilities operations
- Experience leading, directing and reviewing work of team members in order to accomplish operational plans and results
- Able to read and understand utility and design drawings
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various craft disciplines
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Able to give presentations to all levels of employees and management
- Quality Audit experience
- Facilities Budget experience
- Certification in HVAC or Electrical Trades
- Understanding of HVAC Controls system
- Experience in the repair of Aerospace Test Chambers and Equipment
- Experience with vendor repairs and working with contractors
- Understanding of Procurement Processes through PRISM or other CMMS
- This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Facilities. Engineering, Business Administration or related field and minimum 8 years’ experience to include supervising Facilities or Production Tradesman or an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree a combination of education, applicable relevant experience and/or certifications in lieu of degree may be considered.

Brief Department Description
Raytheon Corporate Real Estate Services has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager supervises several Supervisors and Manager who Supervise Electrical, HVAC Mechanic, Plumber, Painter and Carpenter crafts in the repair and maintenance of labs, clean rooms and offices.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
