      What we need
      We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our Mobile Robots Engineering team within our Core Engineering org. Your job will be to track our fleet of mobile robots, provide engineering support, and develop improvements to test capabilities at customer sites. You will oversee a team of field service engineers and technicians and a team of mechanical engineers.

      What you’ll do

      • Manage a team of Field Service Engineers

      • Lead and coordinate engineering campaigns for field upgrades, focusing on hardware and software enhancements to improve robotic system reliability, autonomy, and operational efficiency.

      • Manage the development and execution of detailed test plans, including setting milestones and defining requirements for advanced tools, instrumentation, and capital equipment necessary for robotics system validation and field performance assessments.

      • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in real-time, utilizing expertise in mechatronics, embedded systems, and sensor integration. Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams for system diagnostics and component-level repairs.

      • Collaborate with engineering design teams to develop and refine system architectures, leveraging expertise in kinematics, real-time control algorithms, and AI-based decision-making systems.

      • Act as the primary technical liaison between stakeholders, including senior leadership, R&D teams, and external partners. Provide detailed updates on system diagnostics, root cause analyses, and potential technical fixes.

      • Partner closely with internal engineering teams, including systems engineers and robotics software developers, as well as external operations and maintenance teams, ensuring seamless integration and performance optimization of deployed robotics systems.

      • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with engineering development teams, offering data-driven insights to inform design decisions and enhance the next generation of robotics technologies.

      What you’ll need

      • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering Degree or equivalent

      • Demonstrated experience leading Field Service teams and/or programs

      • Ability to use data to analyze performance and make recommendations and decisions

      • Minimum 8 years of experience in providing Field Service with complex robotic, automotive, or electromechanical systems

      • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems to identify root cause of issues

      • Hands on experience designing complex robotic / electromechanical systems

      • Experience with drivetrain systems, batteries, PCBAs, and other electromechanical components and systems

      • Ability to travel up to 75%


      Our Environment

      • Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.
