Job Description

- Function as a partner and key resource to the Director of Finance in providing oversight of all local financial operational functions for the Central Region markets
- Work closely with internal actuaries, managed care finance, and accounting team to deeply understand financial performance
- Create monthly financial review materials used to lead performance conversations with market leadership and physician partners
- Maintain and update cash flow and surplus workbooks for markets, and create summaries to review surplus with physician partners
- Work with the accounting team through the month-end close process to provide guidance on necessary accruals and research outstanding questions
- Lead the quarterly BOI (burden-of-illness) incentives reconciliation process to ensure accurate calculations and timely payments to all physician partners
- Develop operating expense budget and forecasts for all Central Region markets through collaboration with market leaders
- Assist and support Central Region Director of Finance on ad-hoc analyses and projects, as needed
- Understand, adhere to, and implement the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer services skills, including consistently displaying awareness and sensitivity to the needs of internal and/or external clients. Proactively ensuring that these needs are met or exceeded.

- 3-5 years related work experience, preferably in a health care / managed care setting is preferred
- Background in financial planning/forecasting and medical analytic support
- Experience working directly with large data sets and ability to collaborate effectively with operational and clinical leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
