      JOB SUMMARY:

      Responsible for leading a team of fleet analysts to support major projects and processes for fleet and MHE planning. Responsible for supporting the team to develop, execute, and optimize equipment to meet market demands and proper placement of fleet and MHE. This position will work closely with market leadership, enterprise asset management, and OEMs to accurately track delivery progress and prioritize deliveries. Extract and analyze equipment purchasing, life cycle, repair cost and usage data needed to draw logical, analytical conclusion necessary for the long-term requirements of Sysco Operations. This person will also assist with developing procedures to effectively communicate with operational leaders on fleet planning and managing adjustments of the fleet based on peak business needs, location size, and evaluating excess and shortages. In addition to planning, this person must be able to execute movement and transfers of equipment, invoices, registration, purchase orders, support of forecasting, fiscal year planning, work with lease and rental vendors to acquire equipment when appropriate and collaborate with the team to discuss with OEMs on sourcing purchase opportunities.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Lead and support team members and direct reports

      • Work directly with operational leadership to manage equipment needs and peak business requirements.

      • Plan for the fleet of the future to meet company goals such as sustainability (e.g., alternate fuel vehicles), delivery (e.g., small delivery vehicles), and regulatory (e.g., CARB) meanwhile meeting vehicle availability, economic viability, and reliability requirements.

      • Identify all opportunities (leases, rentals, purchases, reactivations, transfers of owned equipment) to meet the demands from operating sites to support business needs for all US food service and North American international entities

      • In conjunction with Fleet Planning, Maintenance, and Indirect Sourcing, efficiently, accurately, and timely track equipment from cradle-to-grave, including in-service and disposal hierarchy, as well as equipment pooling and staging for all US food service and North American international entities

      • Stay current of industry developments such as capacity, demand, lead-times, production availability, data industry trends, availability of upgrades to a system, etc.

      • Help make hiring decisions and determine how each associate skillset will prove most productive for the organization.

      • Must be able to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.

      Education Required:

      Bachelors' degree in an area of relevant studies such as supply chain, logistics, management information systems, business management, or equivalent work or military experience

      Education Preferred:

      Master’s in business specializing in supply chain and logistics a plus

      Experience Required:

      5 years related knowledge in fleet management or supply chain, or 10 years related experience.

      3 years in a managerial or supervisory role managing large fleets

      Experience Preferred:

      Experience in fleet procurement and equipment right sizing

      Experience in operations in the logistics or supply chain field

      Experience with asset management requirements, knowledge of regulations, material handling equipment, and heavy-duty fleets

      Analytical experience in fleet management a plus

      • Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge required.

      • Ability to plan and carry out assigned projects, resolve conflicts, and coordinate work with others.

      • Manage toward strategic and tactical goals with continuous improvement.

      • Independently and proactively resolves problems.

      • Understands team dynamics and works well within team structure.

      • Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Advanced Excel and Power Point knowledge required.

      Remote or office environment. Expected to travel if management requests it. Typical workday will be regular day time office hours, but expected to handle projects and task deadlines to ensure project completion
