• Estimated Base Salary:$120,000-$160,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Oversee investment accounting functions, including monthly close, investment analytics, journal entries, and account reconciliation, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with industry regulations.
• Review and improve investment policies, processes, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and implement systems enhancements.
• Manage preparation and completion of investment account financial analysis, accounting, and reporting, collaborating with leaders to ensure accurate and timely completion.
• Partner cross-functionally with key business areas, leaders, and external auditors, providing clear insights into investment performance and facilitating audit processes.
• Mentor and develop teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and accountability. Stay updated on industry changes and implement necessary adjustments.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Expertise in finance and accounting practices, with strong knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting in an investment accounting environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple competing priorities and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with leaders, key stakeholders, and external auditors, and deliver clear presentations.
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive collaboration, manage ambiguity, and influence change across teams.
• Proven ability to develop positive business relationships, maintain confidentiality, improve processes, and foster development in others.
• You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
• Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

• Advanced level degree or equivalent experience in Accounting related field.
• 10-15+ years of validated experience in investment accounting. Excellent knowledge of the business models of insurers, regulatory landscape, accounting constraints and local regulations.
• Designation specific to the Finance field, such as a CPA.
