Job Purpose
Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
• Responsible for circle IRU Opex forecast and control.
• Coordinate with circle project & operation team for optimal utilization of Fiber Capex to deliver best in class and scalable fiber infrastructure with resiliencies to ensure high standard network uptime.
• Developing, onboarding and Operationalization of IRU partners to deliver additional fiber requirements of VIL.
• Deliver IRU Project & Operational KPIs and SLAs by working closely with circle teams & MS partners.
• Achieve operational excellence by driving process standards and automations for entire transmission requirement with IRU partners.
• Ensure HSW compliances
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
• Scarcity of fiber pair availability demands balancing of Own and IRU routes built strategy.
• High dependency on other operator’s willingness to share and co-built fiber routes poses challenge to meet AOP target.
• Change in regulatory environment: as the work involves lot of govt policies, which is a major factor in deciding the rollout cost, any change in polices leads to huge change in OFC rollout cost.
• Rapid development of civil Infrastructure like Highway expansion, Freight corridor damaging Fiber Infrastructure thus leading to the need of frequent re-lay cost, therefore increase in Capex spent.
Must have technical / professional qualifications
• B.E. Electronics and Telecommunication
• 6-8 years of Telecom experience and Proficiency in understanding overall transport NW architecture and key cost drivers.
• Understanding of IP/MPLS & Optics NW architecture to build scalable fiber NW
• Sound understanding of Opex and budgetary skills to derive best out of NW at lowest possible cost.
• Should employ a specific time management strategy to ensure closure of fiber projects on fixed time periods.
• Commercial and legal understanding for closure of contract and agreements with IRU partners to get better KPIs and cost factor advantage
