Job Description

- Direct, plan, organize, assign, supervise, and evaluate operating and maintenance repair work to machinery and building electrical/ mechanical systems, completed by operators and selected service contractors.
- Regular inspection, repair, and replacement of manufacturing racking, equipment, and fire system maintenance.
- Directs the complete repairs and maintenance of all equipment and facility to ensure all warranty needs are met.
- Ensure employee requirements are up to date, E-learning, payroll, staff meetings, standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all reporting is accurate and on time including review of unnecessary damages, 5S, Biweekly updates, expenses.
- Review and ensure compliance with regulatory codes, manufacturer’s requirements, industry practices, company policies/ procedures, and operating performance targets.
- Ensure building and equipment complies with applicable codes and safety standards.
- Capital and operational budgets targets monitored and within approved spending parameters.
- Ensure the facility is maintained in clean and orderly fashion and complies with all Food Safety, OH&S, and insurance guidelines.
- Co-ordinate daily activities of maintenance staff and ensure maintenance staff and third-party contractors meet performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per company requirements.
- Strive for continuous improvement.
- All other duties as required.
- Five+ years’ experience in maintenance and repair for various types of machinery, facility material handling, and refrigeration systems.
- Prior experience running a food related refrigeration plant is HIGHLY preferred.
- Experience in general technical troubleshooting of building equipment and hands-on operating, diagnostics, and repair
- Excellent mechanical, analytical, and mathematical skills
- Knowledge and experience of an Industrial Refrigeration System
- Knowledge and experience of Sprinkler or Fire control system
- Three – five years supervisory experience (preferred)
- Two or more years of experience in a food manufacturing, warehouse, or production operations maintenance environment (preferred)
- Journeyman ticket in one of the building trades
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Central Alberta Kitchens, located in Rocky View County, AB, has an opening for a Maintenance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity that brings together the retail grocery sector and an enhanced culinary experience.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for all maintenance activities of the site to ensure the Material Handling Equipment (MHE), building and surrounding property is maintained in a manner that supports our corporate image; protects the health and safety of all visitors and employees; protects the security of the company’s assets; and complies with all regulations and guidelines. The successful candidate will organize, direct, and control the maintenance department, actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment and improve operations through effective planning and scheduling of building and equipment maintenance activities and resources.
