      The Manager, Marketing Automation Operations – Marketo is a critical member of the US Region Omnichannel Marketing Team. This new role within US Marketing, builds and executes the US Region marketing automation and operations strategy.

      As a strategic, hands-on marketing automation leader, you’ll partner across the US Region to own and manage the NA Instance of Marketo/SFDC and help to scale our lead management initiative. This role will be the Regions SME on Marketo and is accountable for building our marketing automation and technology capabilities. The role is responsible for managing the omnichannel campaign planning process and managing the end-to-end Marketo/SFDC technology workflow process. The manager will work with Digital Marketing, Sales Enablement and Commercial Effectiveness teams across develop to drive adoption of omnichannel/lead management standards, develop omnichannel tactics and help deliver measurable ROI.

      This role reports to the Director of Digital Marketing in the US Region and is a highly visible partnership role within the organization and will have a significant impact on the long-term growth.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • This role is equal parts strategy and execution with responsibilities falling into three major areas: Strategic planning, operational excellence, and data analysis.

      Strategic Planning

      • Represents the bridge between marketing, sales, and IT to build digital, omnichannel and Marketing automation programs to drive revenue throughout the marketing and sales pipeline.

      • Designs, executes, and improves the Marketo/SFDC roadmap, growth strategy and operating model.

      • Owns the Marketo/SFDC Governance strategy and end-to-end workflow process. Supervises training programs, builds, and executes landing pages, email and related marketing programs.

      • Collaborates to build a successful lead management orchestration process between marketing and sales; advises on the lead qualification process and communicates lead readiness.

      • Defines Marketo/SFDC metrics and outcomes, including leading/lagging indicators.

      • Stays aware of big ideas and innovations driving the marketing automation industry and marketing function.

      Operational Excellence

      • Manages and owns the NA Instance of Marketo/SFDC as the technology administrator, leveraging its functionality to drive digital and omnichannel effectiveness, lead management operations to improve campaign performance and results.

      • Maintains the health and well being of the NA Instance, including the management and maintenance of data.

      • Oversees access and management governance; advises on contact management governance initiatives to help drive the improvement of omnichannel programs.

      • Oversees the US Region omnichannel lead management programs, including planning, optimization, and process improvements.

      • Conducts thorough assessments of new technologies and spearheads their procurement and implementation.

      • Works with external vendors and agencies to help execute our marketing automation and lead management strategy.

      Data Analysis

      • Advises business partners on best practice KPIs for omni-channel campaigns and lead management processes.

      • Monitors, evaluate, and analyzes KPIs with performance dashboards and reports. Responsible for tracking key KPIs to measure ROI of all omnichannel marketing efforts and lead management efforts.

      • Creates and manages a closed loop feedback process between commercial leaders and sales to understand digital, omnichannel and lead volume and quality; leverages findings to develop solutions for improvements.

      • Constructs and executes test and learn programs to assess omnichannel and digital campaign effectiveness.

      Collaboration

      • Works cross-functionally across BDX to ensure marketing automation, governance and lead management best practices are leveraged across the purchase customer journey aiding the conversion process and providing user insights.

      • Collaborates with the commercial organization and revenue operations consultants to deliver marketing automation solutions, database management expertise.

      Skills and Competencies

      • Advanced proficiency with best practices knowledge in:

        • Marketing Automation/CRM Processes/Database Management

        • Analytics and Dashboards (SFDC, CRMA, PowerBI and Adobe Analytics)

        • Marketing Operations

        • Demand Generation Processes

        • Lead Management Enablement

      • Expert in marketing automation, CRM and workflow technologies

      • Analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills

      • Outstanding communication and clear, concise technical/presentation skills

      • Strong collaborator and cross-functional leadership skill is a large organization.

      • Champion for the customer and has a customer-centric approach.

      • Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills

      • Ability to work independently, take initiative and bring plans to fruition.

      Education, Qualifications and Experience

      • Bachelor’s Degree required with a focus Business, Marketing or Computer Science. MBA preferred.

      • 4+ years of Marketing Automation experience

      • Certifications in Marketo (Expert Level) required, experience in SFDC Sales Cloud highly preferred.

      • Experience using and enabling webinar, learning and sales enablement platforms.

      • Healthcare industry experience preferred; matrixed large organization experience, highly desirable.

      • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage large, detailed projects using creativity and critical thinking skills.

      • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate learnings into scalable solutions.

      • Experience utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to gain alignment with multiple stakeholders vertically and horizontally within a matrix organization highly preferred.

      • Able to analyze performance against acquisition and conversion goals, determine why programs failed or were successful, and continually optimize.

      • Ability to travel 5-10%, as needed
