      Position Overview

      Reporting to the Executive Director, Research Enterprise, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital and Research Enterprise, the MANAGER, COMMUNICATIONS & MEDIA SERVICES oversees operations, technical maintenance, and AV support for events in the Samuel N. Cohen Auditorium and Albrechsten Research Centre Atrium. Manages content creation and campaign execution for SBRC’s digital assets, including the website, social media, and foyer TV. Leads creative development and production of videos, presentations, and promotional materials for SBRC and its internal entities: the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICS), the Canadian Centre for Agri-Food Research in Health & Medicine (CCARM), the Division of Neurodegenerative Disorders (DND), the Youth BIOlab Jeunesse, (YBL), Clinical Research.

      Experience

      • 5-7 years’ experience in event management and execution, AV leadership, digital media production, digital photography, website design, and content management systems.
      • Hands-on technical experience with AV equipment, including cameras, mixers, lighting, soundboards, and digital streaming tools, with troubleshooting expertise.
      • Strong understanding of promotional communications and web-friendly content creation, including scheduling and posting across multiple social media platforms.
      • Proven ability to develop and deliver creative, effective promotional materials and digital media on time, on budget and serving the needs of internal and external clients.

      An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered by the Hospital/Research Centre.

      Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

      • Completion of Digital Multi-Media Technology/Design, Digital Film, Graphic Design, Communications Design and/or Technical Stage Management certification, or a recognized equivalent diploma/degree (required) or a combination thereof.

      SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS:

      • Advanced knowledge of: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder. Working knowledge of: WordPress, XHTML, CSS, BrightSign, and Microsoft Office.
