      SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall management of the warehouse operations in accordance with Wheeler Fleet Solutions mission statement. This includes leading, coaching, and developing the Warehouse Supervisors. Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing new procedures to increase productivity and performance of all warehouse personnel. Ensure that production goals are met on a consistent basis. Responsible for designing and implementing improved process or operational policies. Familiar with a variety of leadership concepts, practices, and procedures especially as related to a production environment. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Assist the Director of Operations with strategic planning.

      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Make important operational policy, planning and strategy decisions.
      • Promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
      • Manage the warehouse personnel’s performance and levels of productivity.
      • Promote team building and positive morale among supervisors and staff.
      • Maintain open lines of communication between all departments.
      • Interact with all personnel, modeling leadership and encouraging morale and teamwork.
      • Responsible for designing and implementing improved process or operational policies.
      • Drive productivity levels to establish efficiency.
      • Work with other departments to ensure production and cost goals are achieved.
      • Develop, plan, and implement continuous process improvements in departmental labor efficiency, labor utilization, and total operating costs.
      • Supervise production, quality performance, safety, and turnaround time.
      • Analyze work demand to determine appropriate staffing levels required to meet production standards.
      • Exercise good judgment in pro-actively determining solutions to new and on-going problems/issues.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

      • Bachelor’s degree in distribution management or related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
        • or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
      • 4 years of experience in management, operations, and leadership.
      • Ability to build consensus and relationships among internal and external customers.
      • Capable of utilizing ERP systems for data input and reporting needs.
      • Efficiently utilize Excel and Word for reporting purposes.
      • Proficiently communicate directions and expectations.

      PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

      • Experience in managing distribution operations for various market segments including commercial retail, government, and eCommerce.

      OTHER :
