Southwire Job Description
This position will provide comprehensive People and Culture service to all team members at the Southwire Denton Plant, including team member relations, recruiting, training, regulatory compliance, and worker’s compensation. He or she will be responsible for leading a team of People and Culture professionals and implementing continuous improvement solutions for the business unit.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the tactical day-to-day People and Culture operations including but not limited to system updates, record management, communication of company initiatives and engagement activities.
• Review and analyzes business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions for performance improvement, retention, and enhancement of team member experience
• Provides management coaching to build leadership capabilities related to the recognition and resolution of team member issues.
• Works with managers and team members to address team member relations issues of all types, ensuring that the interests of all parties are represented in a fair, balanced manner.
• Conducts on-on-one and/or group training sessions as appropriate.
• Analyze and deliver solutions for current and future business needs through the development, engagement, and motivation of human capital
• Oversee hiring process by setting measures for attracting and selecting key talent with goal of staffing to plan and meeting production goals
• Hire, train, and mentor People and Culture support staff within the facility
• Must be willing to take on additional responsibilities in areas outside of the traditional People and Culture functions and have flexible hours as needed.Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and five years' experience in Human Resources. Able to speak Spanish and English at an intermediate level.
Preferred Requirements
SPHR and ten years' experience in Human Resources in a plant environment. Fluent in Spanish and English.
