      The Human Resources (HR) Programs and Services team owns the operations and delivery for Prudential’s global total rewards programs, payroll, tax, accounting, and talent acquisition. It also provides data management, application management and shared services operational support for HR. A unique opportunity exists within the team for a Retirement Benefits Manager.

      The role is primarily responsible for the service delivery of Prudential’s Pension and 401(k) plans, and oversight and management of Prudential’s Third-Party Plan Administrator. In this role, the incumbent will work closely with plan design experts, recordkeepers, and the application and data management team to deliver end-to-end solutions that support plan requirements, stay in sync with regulations, and provide an excellent member experience. This role will also work with employees and other stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

      The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

      What you can expect:

      • Ownership and governance of the service delivery of assigned plans. This requires an excellent understanding of the plan requirements, end-to-end processes and partners involved in the delivery of these plans.
      • Supervise 3rd party vendor performance to ensure that things operate in compliance with plan rules / regulatory requirements and that plan participants receive an excellent customer experience.
      • Identify, advocate for, and implement process improvement opportunities.
      • Act as the subject matter expert and program manager for implementing plan and process changes. Conduct acceptance testing when necessary.
      • Partner with ERISA counsel and plan design team to interpret or establish innovative policies and admin procedures.
      • Accountable for the design and implementation of metrics dashboard on plans.
      • Continuous process improvement on customer experience and service delivery from all in-sourced and outsourced relationships
      • Routine contact with the vendor to investigate discrepancies and resolve non-routine issues, providing multiple solutions and policy interpretation.
      • Research, analyze, and coordinate with collaborators and/or project teams to assist in the advancement and execution of implementing administrative changes.
      • Create and deliver valuable communications and employee educational presentations.
      • Remain abreast of trends in plan designs, technological developments, and regulatory changes.
      • Provide business requirements to the data and process team to build or update system integration files.
      • Review and approve exceptions upon requests from recordkeepers and maintain records for compliance filings.
      • Resolve escalated member cases, inquiries from other HR functions, and senior executive special requests including presenting claims to the Appeals Committee.
      • Fulfill data reporting requests by using support from the data/process management team.
      • Support plan design strategy experts in updating SPD/SMM.
      • Support regulatory filings, audits, and compliance testing.
      • Assist in developing employee communication.

      What you’ll need:

      • 5+ years of experience managing qualified and non-qualified defined contribution and defined benefit plan.
      • 5+ years of experience in business requirements gathering & documentation.
      • 3+ years of experience in a position of accountability.
      • Effective communication skills to manage the interaction at all levels of the organization, including the ability to present and clearly explain information to various audiences.
      • Strong partnering, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills, with the ability to identify processes that can be streamlined and improved.
      • Strong risk management and control mindset as work involves highly confidential data.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

      It’d be a plus if you had:

      • Experience with Workday is a plus.
      • Experience with large, complex organization process management is a plus.
      • Any ASPPA professional designations such as CPC, QKA, QPA etc.

The salary range for this role is from $111,400.00 to $165,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
