      Overview

      M Health Fairview is currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager to join our team!

      This position is responsible for managing all aspects of revenue recovery insurance follow-up responsibilities, including overall achieving benchmark cash collection performance as well as, general supervision, policy and procedure compliance, personnel performance, training and development, performance measurement and appraisals. This position will manage team supervisors and/or leads and workforce, monitor, measure and achieve associated metrics. The Manager is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service as efficiently as possible while meeting financial, performance and quality goals. The Manager must have the ability to work cross-functionally with other colleagues, work cooperatively with all levels of the business including both internal and external partners and vendors as well as escalate when necessary. The ideal candidate will be results oriented with a proven record of developing engaged employees that are well versed in regulatory and payer requirements -while identifying ways to improve efficiency, performance, outcomes and the patient’s financial experience.

      Major functions typically in the Revenue Recovery area includes collecting timely and accurate payments from third party and governmental payers through routine follow-up activities to ensure expected payment is received.

      Responsibilities

      • Creates and implements department strategies related to cash collections, AR liquidity, team performance and quality and overall outcomes in line with benchmark metrics for area of responsibility including timely and accurate patient financial experience,.
      • Understands workload demands and ensures that their team is meeting all performance expectations, in a prioritized manner, including escalation.
      • Review and analyze business data to identify trends and implement recommendations to improve performance, efficiency and net revenue improvements.
      • Ensures all productivity standards are met in a timely manner through measuring and monitoring work products. Analyzes weekly and monthly reports for performance measurement, efficiencies and trends to deploy mitigation tactics to achieve expected outcomes.
      • Develops and implements methods and procedures to meet and exceed productivity, efficiency, quality, financial and quality goals.
      • Provides daily leadership and guidance, direction, and motivation to team.
      • Ensures policies and procedures are up to date, identifies and creates new policies and procedures in a timely manner. Ensure all process and training documentation is up to date and that their team knowledge and application are current.
      • Actively develop direct reports through coaching, feedback, and projects to ensure their success and to create a highly engaged, productive team while meeting all performance objectives
      • Conduct regular team meetings ensuring a sense of community among team and sharing performance and overall updates to keep the team informed
      • Responsible for overall team quality program ensuring that patient satisfaction is number one priority
      • Handles escalations to ensure complete satisfaction
      • Evaluates team and individual training needs and assists in developing plans for immediate and long-term performance improvements
      • Aids in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiencies and quality within the department.
      • Interviews and hires staff as needed and approved by senior management
      • Conducts and reviews performance appraisals of direct reports, identifies performance problems, and initiates disciplinary actions. Evaluates subordinate’s performance by establishing objectives and measurements for supervisory and staff personnel. Provides constructive feedback on a consistent basis

      Qualifications

      Education

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related or 6 additional years of minimum experience.

      Experience

      • 3 years of supervisory and/or management experience
      • PC systems literate including Windows, and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word programs

      License/Certification/Registration

      Preferred

      Education

      • MBA

      Experience

      • Epic software experience
      • Knowledge of revenue cycle billing process and insurance collections
