      How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

      Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):

      • Develops both strategic and tactical plans that creates a security & emergency response-conscious environment that results in employee, passenger, and asset protection
      • Partner with the Station Leaders & Corporate in formulating comprehensive solutions and communicating security & emergency programs to the frontline agents
      • Leads/manages the development of effective security and emergency response prevention programs
      • Lead/manages a team of SIDA Office agents to support the ACS hiring and badging process
      • Lead/manages a team of Security Observers; testing and collect security sweep observations, drive process compliance with keeping safety first mindset
      • Coordinates with multiple corporate and divisional departments to ensure aligned security and emergency response training strategies
      • Compiles, interprets, and analyzes security and training compliance data to identify key causal trends and risks in need of attention
      • Manages on-going and complex changes to regulatory requirements (i.e DOA, TSA, CBP and FAA) by interpreting requirements, to ensure Delta is in full compliance

      What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

      This position requires a working knowledge of Delta’s operational policies and procedures. Must have the ability to objectively analyze security and emergency response incidents, with a focus on preventing recurrences. Must possess good teamwork skills and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of station management. Must be self‐motivated and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Should present a professional business-like image, have a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Critical thinking and problem‐solving skills required for effective service recovery.

      What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

      Work experience in airports, security, passenger service, and a background in Airline Industry policies and procedures are highly desirable.
