      Manager, SIOP & Systems Kohler Energy

      Location: Hybrid-3 days a week at 200 Twin Oaks Road, Kohler, Wisconsin or 95 WL Runnels Industrial Dr Hattiesburg, MS 39401

      BASIC FUNCTION

      The Manager, SIOP & Systems Kohler Energy is responsible for leading the monthly Supply & Demand Planning process among multiple product groups in Home Energy through a disciplined, well communicated and end-to-end supply chain approach. This position manages the short and long-term supply and demand planning supporting annual sales of $400M and has full accountability for managing finished goods inventory and turns.

      The Manager, SIOP & Systems Kohler Energy maintains high on-time shipment service levels while maintaining optimal Finished Goods inventory levels. Incorporates customer collaboration and event management in monthly forecasting process and provides operations with a level load production plan that includes rough cut capacity planning. Owns the Logistics S&OP process aligning warehouse operations with the output of the S&OP (deployment).

      The Manager, SIOP & Systems Kohler Energy Participates as Supply Chain team member in monthly Business Team Meetings. Provides supply trend data by product category, channel and select SKU’s. Partners with key functional leaders across the company (Manufacturing, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure operational goals are met.

      SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

      • Manage the Supply Planning process for the Residential Air-Cooled Generators, Residential Liquid Cooled Generators, and Automatic Transfer Switch Business teams.
      • Responsibility for the supply and inventory planning meetings for specific product groups within teams:
      • Kohler Facilities - 3 manufactures and 4 ship points
      • 3rd Party Suppliers - +40 suppliers, across multiple countries
      • Leads Supply & Demand Plans and Reviews
      • Develops monthly supply & demand plans for manufacturing and contract suppliers on a 24-month cycle, maintain a feasible, level loaded production plan.
      • Manages the master data settings in SAP relevant to master scheduling and ensure solutions are created and on time.
      • Provides simulations for supply and demand capabilities for potential upside sales and promotions.
      • Communicates agreed upon supply plans and escalates out of balance situations.
      • Develops/Manages Logistics S&OP process ensuring weekly/monthly finished goods Supply Plan and Stock Transport Orders are being provided to each network location (deployment)
      • Manages deployment strategies for finished goods in the network.
      • Identify and support Continuous Improvement and SOP across Supply Chain.
      • Collaborate with Global partners to drive excellence and best practice across Supply Chain.
      • Support corporate Logistics strategies.
      • Coordinating NPD/Discontinuation.
      • Coordinates the phase in and inventory builds for new products prior to launch and the phase out of discontinued SKUs.
      • Provides finished inventory calculations for working capital exhibits, ensures production effectivity dates are managed to provide adequate time for good planning.

      Lead Time Management

      • Effectively communicate SKU stated and committed lead times to our customers.
      • Develops supply plans and monitors adherence to drive SKU’s to lead times target.
      • Identify gaps between customer stated lead time performance and targets and adjust accordingly.

      Inventory

      • Responsible for managing purchased and manufactured supply associated with $660M+ in annual sales across 4 Distribution Centers.
      • Drives alignment with production capacity, schedules, and service commitments to deliver desired finished goods working capital and turn targets.
      • Accountable for finished goods inventory of $50M plus.
      • Accountable for FG E&O.
      • Partner with Distribution Centers to manage Return and Repack inventory.
      • Partner with Plant Material Managers to coordinate WIP and Raw Material inventory.
      • Partner with Purchasing to manage Supplier commitments and relationships.

      Service Levels

      • Deliver service commitments by balancing supply and demand with manufacturing capacity while delivering finished goods inventory turns goals. Holds manufacturing accountable for scheduling adherence.
      • Responsible for driving categories to achieve or beat target LOTIF.
      • Professional 95%, Retail 98%
      • Achieve or beat category target Lead Times.
      • Professional 14 days & Retail 7 days.
      • Achieve or beat category target Inventory Turns of 5.5 to 6 turns on FG.

      Systems

      • Deploy and develop SAP Advance Planner Optimizer (APO) for demand planning and supply planning
      • Deploy and develop SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS)

      RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

      Supervisory Relationships:

      • Reports to the Director Supply Chain – Home Energy
      • Direct Reports: 4 direct reports, Supply Planners, Master Schedulers, and Demand Planners

      Organization Relationships:

      • Frequent contact with Sales Leadership and Analysts.
      • Frequent contact with Advanced Analytics, Logistics, Sales & Operations Planning, Shipment Planning, and Transportation teams
      • Frequent cross-functional contact with Corporate Credit, Channel and Category leaders and members
      • Occasional contact with Manufacturing Operations, Corporate Systems, Accounting, Communications, Legal, Quality teams
      • Occasional contact with executive leadership team members

      Skills/Requirements

      Required Skills

      · Position requires a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Mathematics or a related field or 5 years of supply chain planning experience.

      · Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing and project management techniques highly valued.

      · Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

      · Must be capable of, and experienced in, working with different functional areas (operations, purchasing, logistics, finance, engineering, sales and customer service) and companies throughout the supply chain (customers, vendors, 3PLs, Joint Ventures and outsourcing suppliers).

      · Exceptional Excel, Microsoft office, SAP (PRD & APO), Power BI, and analytical skills required.

      · Must be capable of defining, analyzing, and resolving complicated problems.

      · Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

      Desired Skills

      · Direct people management experience would be preferred.

      · Demand planning experience would be preferred

      The salary range for this position is $110,050 - $140,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
