Direct the planning, design and implementation of capital and opex projects, which may include shutdowns.
Responsible for capital project planning, estimating and overall budget while working closely with Finance to maintain fiscal compliance with company policies.
Oversee the projects’ operational and capital budgets, ensure adherence to financial standards and provide cost metrics and reporting.
Maintain communication with stakeholders and communicate project status updates to senior management.
Direct staff of Sanofi Project Leads and project controls personnel.
Maintain a contracted staff to support capital projects as needed.
Ensure the implementation of project management best practices through work plans and critical path analysis while utilizing applicable project methodology (e.g., Project Phase Gate).
Conduct routine project reviews to assure compliance with metric, including scope, schedule and budget.
Review project updates and assure timely transfer to planner/scheduler for master schedule updates.
Conduct lessons learned for strategic projects and assure staff is apprised of pertinent issues.
Execute capital plan in compliance with applicable codes, regulations and company standards.
Promote and maintain an environment compliant with company controls and accepted accounting standards.
Manage cost controls and detailed tracking logs with Capital Project Specialists
Preparation and communication of monthly project opex and capex performance to ensure that spending is within budget.
Partner with the site's Controller to support audits, cost and budget initiatives and financial compliance.
Development/alignment of consistent financial processes and internal guidelines.
Support the preparation of financial operational and capital plans (ie, reforecast and Strat Plan in March/April; Reforecast and next years budget in August/September).
Provide required project capital and opex reporting for SHINE and CRT.
Support the development and implementation of project and engineering SOPs/Engineering Procedures.
Communicate effectively across organizational and functional boundaries to build effective cross functional project teams.

Bachelor's Degree with 10 years minimum experience or Master's Degree with 8 years minimum experience in a Biotech Industry and/or related regulatory, engineering and construction experience.
At least 7 years experience managing direct reports.
Demonstrated experience working in cGMP biotech environment and with GDP Practices.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple disciplined technical staff and supporting manufacturing operations.
Proficient experience with MS Office Applications, MS Project, SAP/Oracle, SHINE/Planisware, associated financial tools and strong cost accounting practices.
Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, listening and interpersonal
Strong Capital Project cost management along with fixed asset and depreciation accounting
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business (MBA).
Demonstrated experience in conceptual development, design and implementation, planning and scheduling and project management of major capital projects up to $5.5M (5MEUR).
Demonstrated experience communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels with customers, vendors, equipment suppliers and operations staff.
Strong leadership skills to enable high performance teams in a rapidly changing business environment are required.

The MA BioCampus (MBC)Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) organization is responsible for providing engineering and maintenance support to organizations on the Framingham and Northborough campuses.
The Projects organization will be supporting the following groups at the Framingham campus: (1) Framingham Biologics - comprised of commercial Fabrazyme, Cerezyme, Nexviazyme, Thyrogen and Global Cell Banking operations. (2) Framingham Maintenance - responsible for campus wide facilities and utilities operations per established Service Level Agreements and (3) Framingham Campus - in the context of programs/projects requiring approval, planning and execution across the Sanofi groups on the Framingham and Northborough campuses. The Project group will interact with all of these groups on projects/programs with campus impact.
The Projects group is responsible for the planning and execution of projects and programs under its scope as determined by budget and other pre-established criteria, ensuring projects/programs are completed to established schedules and budget. The Commissioning and Qualification groups will be responsible for providing C&Q support to systems and projects/programs within the scope of this organization.
The T3 (Tier III) Project Manager, is a senior manager that directs the project planning, budgeting, execution and closeout for Framingham and Northborough projects, which may include shutdowns, at the New York Avenue, Framingham MA manufacturing Campus and Northborough campus. The T3 Project Manager will assure compliance with established priorities for a portfolio of projects valued at $5.5M (5MEUR) and below. The T3 Project Manager will manage a team of T3 Project Leads assigned responsibility for project execution and performance. The T3 Project Manager will work closely with the portfolio lead, project stakeholders and the Campus Leaders to assure project execution, shutdowns and expectations are achieved as planned.

The salary range for this position is:
$125,250.00 - $208,750.00All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
