      Job Description

      As Tax Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the tax provision, research and planning, and managing the US reporting and compliance for our business. You will be actively engaged in tax planning and modelling related to GILTI, FDII, FTC, BEAT, Pillar II, etc.

      • Manage tax compliance, including preparation and review of international tax calculations, such as GILTI, FDII, FTC, and BEAT, and Forms such as 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, 8991, 8992, and 8993, and reporting statements as required.
      • Research tax issues, including analyzing the impact of potential law changes on the company’s income tax positions.
      • Prepare the tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including footnote disclosures and supporting documentation.
      • Advise internal project teams on various direct/indirect tax matters related to entering a new jurisdiction and international proposals and wins.
      • Drafts memos to file supporting tax positions and prepares presentations to Management.
      • Supports tax process optimization, utilizing Microsoft Power Applications and Power BI
      • Supports monitoring of OECD’s Pillar II and its impacts on US international tax. Responsible for the calculation of GloBE and reporting obligations of the company, with consultation of outside tax advisors.
      • Responsible for the implementation and documentation for the Company’s Global Transfer Pricing Policy, including assisting local teams with local file preparation and filings, and ensuring proper documentation for intercompany services and other transactions.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • 5 years of related experience with at least 2 of those years in a management or supervisory capacity.
      • Bachelor's degree.
      • Current CPA or JD required.
      • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.


      Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience with OneSource Income Tax and Tax provision.
      • Experience with Oracle.

      • Extensive technical and practical expertise in corporate income tax, tax accounting, and international taxation.
      • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
      • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with all organizational levels and external advisors.
      • Strong skills in research, analysis, and documentation.
      • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
      • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and sound decision-making abilities.
      • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, required.

      $176,987

      Additional Compensation

      All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
