Job Title: Manual Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work in a job shop environment creating unique parts and occasionally re-engineering components. You will set up and operate various machines including VTLs, Boring Mills, saws, and drill presses, ensuring all parts meet precise specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machines such as VTLs, Boring Mills, saws, and drill presses.
• Inspect and verify conformance to specifications on machined parts.
• Monitor the machining process, measure parts during fabrication, and adjust settings to ensure product quality.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Indicate and set up machines accurately.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience operating manual machines (presses not included).
• Proficient in setting up manual machines.
• Experience operating VTLs and Boring Mills.
• Skilled in indicating and setting up machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of manual mills and lathes.
• Experience with manual VTLs, Boring Mills, and vertical mills.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform manual set-ups.
• Machinist certification or relevant training is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
