HSE - Responsible for ensuring that technologies deployed are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm programme
Product Safety - Responsible for ensuring that digital systems risks are understood and mitigated, and for promoting a product safety culture in the organisation
Quality - Promote a culture of zero defects within the organisation. Ensure that digital systems within the business are developed and deployed to support Right First Time manufacture. Ensure compliance to all relevant company, legislative and technical policies and standards, including Export Control, Intellectual Property and Cyber Security requirement
Scoping - Work with a range of stakeholders to establish digital system improvement opportunities and translate into a clear set of requirements and business cases
Deployment – Plan and manage activities including schedule, resources and costs, gaining buy-off and communicating current status to stakeholders. Ensure issues and risks are resolved to meet project timescales.
Minimum Standards - Define and embed global minimum standards for Digital Manufacturing Systems to support business objectives
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing - Operate as an active member of the global Digital Manufacturing community, supporting cross-business collaboration and knowledge sharing
Stakeholder management - Build and maintain beneficial relationships with internal and external functions, partners and suppliers to enable delivery of objectives
Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or other national equivalent).
Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes with an understanding of assembly, disassembly and repair processes being advantageous
Project management experience
Manufacturing and/or Assembly Digital Systems knowledge
Well organised, good communication skills and comfortable working with ambiguity
Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver in a challenging environment

Location : Derby
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Manufacturing Engineer to join our Experimental team in Derby.
This is an exciting time to join the team as there are a number of large-scale projects to implement over the next 5 years. You will help us shape and realise the Digital Manufacturing Strategy across the Disassembly, Repair, Assembly and Test value stream.
Working closely with all functions (Operations, Engineering, Planning, IT etc.) you will fix, improve and help to transform current and future digital capability and be expected to identify and develop opportunities for new or improved manufacturing processes, digital systems and technologies to meet current and future requirements. You will also ensure that both the business and our people are ready for the process and culture changes these digital systems introduce.
