      Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer


      Job Description

      We are seeking a dynamic and fast-paced Manufacturing Engineer to support all product lines. The role involves working closely with the mold shop, tube making, plastic film production, injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding processes. The candidate will be responsible for validating new parts, creating new tooling, upgrading equipment, conducting nonconformance investigations, qualifying new molds, and engineering studies for mold making.

      Responsibilities

      • Work with the mold shop, tube making, and plastic film production.
      • Perform injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding.
      • Validate new parts and create new tooling.
      • Upgrade equipment and conduct nonconformance investigations.
      • Write reports on nonconformance investigations.
      • Qualify new molds and replacements for existing molds.
      • Conduct engineering studies for mold making.
      • Attend Tier 1 meetings, manager review meetings, MRB meetings, project meetings, and other internal meetings.
      • Work with suppliers and utilize SAP as the ERP system.
      • Use TrackWise for nonconformance tracking and Minitab for analysis.

      Essential Skills

      • 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in plastic molding.
      • Experience in creating tooling for plastic injection molding, extrusion molding, and blow molding.
      • Proficiency in process improvement techniques including time studies, data analysis, and nonconformance investigations.
      • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
      • Experience with medical devices and working in regulated environments.
      • Proficiency in Six Sigma, Minitab, ERP systems, and TrackWise.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience in using TrackWise for nonconformance tracking.
      • Experience in using Minitab for analysis.
      • Medical device experience and familiarity with working in regulated environments.

      Work Environment

      This is a fast-paced environment with a typical schedule of 7am-4:30pm. Candidates need to be available to work with other shifts occasionally. No travel is required as suppliers are local. The ideal candidate should be a team player, collaborative, and able to work with various departments. The department comprises 4 supervisors responsible for different schedules (weekend, 1st shift, and 2nd shift), 1 technician, and 4 mold makers who support all product lines, including making tubing and plastic for IV bags.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $62.00/hr.
