Processing engineering change requests.
Trouble-shooting production problems.
Assist in trouble-shooting assembly equipment.
Optimizing workstation layout.
Justifying, specifying, and installing equipment.
Introducing new products (BOM scrubbing, Manufacturing Trial Lots, Assist in Training, and work with Design Engineering on Production Issues related to Design for Manufacturing).
Creating and maintaining Bill of Materials and Routings (Assembly and Fabrication).
Supporting and/or leading Lean projects.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / industrial engineering - Mandatory
Equipment justification (Capital request), specification, and installation (project management). Ergonomic principles.
Fabrication processes including assembly, coils, copper, and sheet metal manufacturing.
Lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation design, layouts…).
Machine design (oversee fixture & equipment design, fabrication, and installation).
Degree in Engineering or other related manufacturing discipline.
HVAC training or experience a plus.
Presentations, teamwork, and coaching for optimal performance.
Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, and Pro-E.

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing manufacturing processes and methods required for a premier HVAC manufacturing facility. Key duties include leading and/or participating on projects that increase plant capacity, reduce cost, improve productivity, reduce job hazards, and /or improve product quality.
