- Req#: R019102
- Tooling and equipment design and fabrication. Use of CAD/CAM using CATIA V5 and DraftSight.
- Contributing to a transition to digital manufacturing utilizing the DELMIA Apriso MES system.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements utilizing additive manufacturing technology. Participating in Lean/5S manufacturing events.
- Collaborating with Facilities and Engineering to author equipment and process work instructions. Assisting Manufacturing Engineers and CNC Programmers in performing honeycomb core materials characterization.
- Participating in multi-disciplinary Continuous Improvement projects utilizing experimental design (DOE), data collection and statistical evaluation.
- Student must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or post-graduate in a Mechanical, Plastics, Composites or Manufacturing Engineering degree program (B.S. or B.A.).
- Computer proficiency required with experience in MS Office and parametric solid modeling preferred.
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate good organizational and communication skills.

Hexcel is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for our Burlington, WA location. Primary recruitment is for one school quarter. The position can be extended beyond one quarter based on student availability. Hexcel Burlington has a great plant culture valuing diversity, safety, and working together as a team to achieve strong results. Hourly Wage: $22.00 per hour
