- Application of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles.
- Feasibility of all designs to suit manufacturing build requirements – Design for Assembly (DFA) / Design for Manufacture (DFM).
- Build process strategy for manufacturing.
- Process Capability of all processes and equipment, including Dimensional Management applications.
- Support and lead virtual build events, raising and managing issues where appropriate.
- Support equipment buy offs at plant and also at vendor locations, raising and managing issues where appropriate.
- Support physical builds at Plant locations, raising and managing issues where appropriate.
- Relevant previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques
- Flexible approach to job responsibilities and working hours
- Demonstrable ability to create detailed and effective action plans
- Proven process and project management experience on installation programs
- Ideally educated to degree level in Manufacturing or a similar engineering discipline
- Evidence of an innovative approach to technical problem solving and process development

WHAT TO EXPECT
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a diverse team of engineers within JLR Body In White Global Manufacturing Engineering department at Halewood, UK.
You’ll play a key role in providing technical support to design, develop and implement manufacturing production processes to enable successful launch of our new range of fully electric vehicles. This will ensure feasibility of all designs to suit manufacturing build requirements, ergonomic process’s, delivery of tools and fixtures, quality, data analysis and resolution of issues.
