What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct market analysis and examinations on insurance companies to ensure compliance with Oregon Insurance Code and regulations
- Address market conduct problems and implement corrective actions to protect consumers
- Prepare technical reports and documentation related to regulatory findings
- Collaborate with team members to enhance consumer protection and education initiatives
- Review and evaluate insurance forms and terms for clarity and compliance

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, or relevant experience in insurance compliance examination work
- At least 1.5 years of experience in insurance-related fields such as auditing, accounting, or claims adjudication
- Hold an Accredited Insurance Examiner (AIE) or Certified Insurance Examiner (CIE) designation (for Insurance Examiner level)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong understanding of regulations and regulatory guidance related to insurance

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in technical and report writing with regulatory language
- Familiarity with federal laws, Oregon statutes, and administrative rules related to insurance
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
- Prior experience reviewing or creating insurance forms
- Knowledge of data cleaning and logic functions in Excel
