What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and understand organized market designs and the impact of design modifications
- Facilitate market design changes through the stakeholder process and ensure effective implementation
- Collaborate with market participants and member companies to resolve market issues
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market data to identify weaknesses or inefficiencies
- Document analysis and studies in clear written reports, presenting findings to stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, or a related field
- Five years of job-related experience for the Sr. Market Design Analyst position
- Three years of job-related experience for the Market Design Analyst II position
- Proficient in organizing and conducting technical and analytical studies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in power operations or market design in the Western Interconnection
- Advanced degree in economics, mathematics, or a related field
- Experience in utility operations, RTO operations, or energy trading
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis of large data sets
