- Write original copy for college, school, and department websites
- Utilize data and insights to write effective and motivating copy for lead generation websites
- Write original copy for communications materials such as brochures, newsletters, email marketing campaigns, and fundraising materials
- Write and post engaging social media content appropriate for the audience and platform
- Edit content developed by other college partners to ensure messages are clear and mechanically correct, support strategic goals, and use the appropriate tone and voice for the intended audience
- Conduct research and interviews with faculty, staff, and students when needed for content creation
- Manage multiple and competing priorities to ensure timely delivery of critical projects
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to write compelling marketing copy
- Strong grammar and punctuation knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- 3 years of marketing, PR, or related experience
- Experience with social media strategies
- Experience writing scripts for short promotional videos
- Experience using Workfront project management system
- Higher ed marketing experience
- Experience with one or more key industries related to the college: Agriculture, Life Sciences, Retailing, or Economics

As a Marketing Content Writer in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Arizona, you’ll use your research, writing, editing, and storytelling skills to generate interest in our 20+ majors to support student recruitment. You’ll become an essential member of a small, but impactful team under the direction of the college’s Director of Content Strategy. A background in writing and editing copy for websites, landing pages, and other marketing collateral; combined with a passion for storytelling, a basic understanding of SEO, and an interest in social media, will make you an outstanding candidate for this role.
