- Applies graphic design skills to create marketing content and collateral from existing Karl Strauss creative assets in response to requests for:
- POS
- Tap handles
- Sell sheets
- Pitch decks
- Social media templates
- Basic video or slide creation
- Menus
- Pub displays
- Events and promotions
- And more
- Act as a project coordinator for major marketing projects. Maintaining project plans, tracking milestones and progress, assigning roles/tasks, following up on upcoming deadlines or outstanding items, and tracking progress and success measures.
- Maintains a hub for all accounts and apps to ensure team access and utilization.
- Organizes and maintains a centralized file system.
- Organizes and maintains internal digital assets and digital community for internal customers including Sales, Karl Strauss Distribution, and Pubs that support self-service, when helpful, and common access to most up-to-date marketing assets. Central hubs include: Lilypad, Internal training materials & resources, SharePoint, and more.
- Merchandise inventory coordination and tracking across all profit centers
- Continuous improvement to help make marketing efficient, effective, resourceful, and responsive.
- Makes the best use of technology resources while fostering great relationships and a high-trust environment for the best customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree required, emphasis in Marketing preferred.
- 2-4 years of previous experience in a marketing role, preferably in California in the alcohol industry with ABC regulation familiarity.
- Strong passion for craft beer or a willingness to learn and become a craft beer expert.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments and levels.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Experience with various graphic design software including Adobe suite and vector-based tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Hybrid work option with an estimate of 3 days per week onsite and travel to pubs.

Position Summary
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the marketing team in developing and executing marketing initiatives. This role is vital to creating a healthy cycle of execution of projects and responses to incoming marketing requests so that items are prioritized, addressed, assigned, and completed. Most importantly, this role will act as an internal marketing help desk to ensure customers are at the center of our work and that we help make people happy one beer at a time. The marketing team is an agile team and requests will range from editing menus, to tracking projects, to supporting events.A successful candidate:
