      Are you a current student in Graphic Design looking for a unique intern opportunity? If so, the Marketing Design Team at our Corporate Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is hiring an intern to help us provide support and promote the Lamar brand within the company and to the public.

      This Intern position primarily contributes to a set of recurring projects for our team, such as sales training collateral materials, Rotary Club speaker billboards, Market Profiles, Self Promotional print ad customization, photo tagging, and mini billboards for Lamar employees. In their remaining time, our intern also assists with office-specific sales material requests and participate in special projects as they become available. They will work alongside a range of creative professionals (print & web design, advertising, public relations, and event planning) in the Marketing Department at Lamar’s Corporate office.

      Please note that this is NOT a billboard design internship. Our team does occasional roadside billboard designs, but we are largely responsible for sales-focused collateral and company-wide marketing efforts.

      • This is a part-time paid internship. The hourly rate is $15/hour.
      • Our hybrid team works in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

      A day in the life:

      • Work alongside a range of creative professionals (print & web design, advertising, public relations, event planning) in the Marketing Department at Lamar’s corporate office.
      • Customize designed materials using template files
      • Primarily contribute to a set of recurring projects for our team:
        • Collateral for monthly Sales Training Classes
        • Rotary Club speaker Billboards
        • Market Profiles for local offices
        • Customization of local office self-promotional print ads
        • Mini Billboards for Lamar employees
        • Photo Tagging
      • Assist with office-specific sales material requests and participate in special projects as they become available.
      • Complete assigned tasks within given deadlines
      • Print, cut, bind, pack, and ship materials as needed
      • Light photo editing and cropping
      • Brainstorm, mock-up, and communicate design ideas

      What we are looking for in YOU:

      • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Illustrator and Photoshop)
      • Working knowledge of design principles and file setup for print and web applications
      • Ability to work independently and efficiently
      • Attention to detail
      • Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Slides, Docs) is a plus.
      • Positive attitude with a desire to ask questions and learn

      Education and Experience Requirements

      • High School diploma or equivalent is required
      • Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design – Junior level preferred

      Physical Demands and Work Environment

      • The primary work environment for this position is an office.
      • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, reaching, seeing (with a focus on reading, color distinction, and acuity), sitting more than 50% of the time, standing, talking, turning, and walking.
      • Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%
