      Marketing Strategist – Cox Media

      What You’ll Do

      Working with Cox Media, you’ll partner with sales to develop customized marketing strategies and solutions for high potential, high growth local clients in the San Diego market. You’ll use storytelling to present data, research and recommendations using visuals that illustrate how each solution will benefit the client.

      Here’s a peek at what you’ll do:

      • Identify and match Cox Media’s products to specific client needs and objectives to develop highly customized solutions and marketing campaigns.
      • Lead cross functional strategy sessions aimed at creating integrated marketing campaigns for new clients and drive multiproduct adoption for existing high-value clients.
      • Use storytelling to present data, research, and recommendations. Simplify complex media offerings and communicate their value using visuals that speak to clients in terms of their business.
      • Create dynamic presentations for our clients that answer the question “why should I invest my valuable marketing budget with Cox Media?”
      • Serve as a conduit between sales, marketing, creative and digital teams with the goal of ensuring cohesion, project momentum & data-driven strategy throughout all facets of client’s campaigns.
      • Act as subject matter expert on all Cox Media products, their value proposition, and how to demonstrate their impact to various marketing needs.
      • Build effective consultative relationship with clients to ensure client satisfaction and develop future business opportunities.
      • Track campaign results and prepare comprehensive campaign recaps to communicate return on investment to clients.
      • Attend job-related training to increase knowledge of Cox Media and competitor services.
      • Embrace consultative selling techniques.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years experience in a related field
      • A deep understanding of both the traditional and digital media landscape
      • Expertise with PowerPoint and/or Canva
      • Strong written communication skills
      • Strong digital marketing acumen
      • Able and willing to travel 5% of the time (average of 1 trip/yr)

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Media buying or planning experience a plus!
      • An analytical mindset and an eye for detail.

      Compensation:

      Compensation includes a base salary of $102,600.00 - $154,000.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
