Materials Handler, 3rd shift - Leaf Warehouse

Job Description

Swedish Match Leaf Tobacco Company is currently seeking a Materials Handler (3rd Shift) for the Owensboro Leaf Warehouse location .

This is not a union position.

Major Responsibilities Include:

• Operate snuff turning equipment in the snuff fermentation department.
• Remove and replace snuff carts from the fermentation room.
• Obtain samples and deliver same to the laboratory.
• Observe snuff being turned and alert lead man concerning abnormal occurrences.
• Maintain order and accuracy of snuff carts.
• Operate narrow aisle lift in fermentation room.
• Unload incoming shipments.
• Load outgoing shipments.
• Manipulate tobacco in sweat rooms during sweating season.
• General Maintenance and housekeeping of work area and buildings.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Requirements:

• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 80lbs.
• Must have the ability to bend, push, pull, squat and climb on a regular basis.
• Must be willing to work in a tobacco environment.
• Must be able to work 10:30pm - 7:00am shift
