Description
The MATS (Master of Arts in Theological Studies) Marketing Specialist is responsible for promotion of the online MATS degree program through (1) implementing initiatives aimed at increasing audience size and engagement, (2) content and copy creation, (3) developing and nurturing strategic partnerships, and (4) participation in conferences and events. We are seeking a creative, self-driven, and experienced candidate who is passionate about equipping Christians with a Reformed theological foundation for use in everyday life. This person is also ideally well-versed in Westminster's ministry and philosophy. This position offers the flexibility of remote work.
Duties and responsibilities 1. (30%) Drive the growth of the MATS program by implementing initiatives aimed at increasing student enrollment, retention, and overall participation.
- Collaborate with the Associate Directors of Online Learning and the Marketing, Admissions, and Core Advisory teams for development of creative marketing campaigns alongside student and alumni engagement efforts.
- Represent and promote the MATS at strategically selected conferences and events.
- Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships.
2. (30%) Create compelling MATS copy and content that effectively engages and resonates with target audience across various channels.
3. (20%) Collect and analyze data associated with the core audience for the MATS. Periodically update audience profiles and support the Associate Directors of Online Learning, Marketing, and Admissions in drawing conclusions about opportunities for refining the product's positioning.
4. (10%) Drive robust online community engagement for the MATS using digital platforms and local events to foster interaction, support, and collaboration among a global community of students, faculty, and alumni.
5. (5%) Report progress and updates to leadership.
6. (5%) Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by Senior and Associate Directors of Online Learning and Marketing.
Requirements
Skills - Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in design, copywriting, and content creation
- Demonstrated creative and innovative problem-solving abilities, while analytical and data-driven
- Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas and draft copy that aligns with the language, ethos, and philosophy of Westminster and its target audiences
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Salesforce and Pardot competency
- Understanding of digital marketing best practices (email, social media, etc.)
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
- Record of successful marketing engagement experience
- Familiarity with higher education industry
- Knowledge of and experience with implementing SEO best practices
- Knowledge of and experience with CRO a plus
- Deep understanding of various Christian denominations, and the intersection of faith and culture
- Familiarity with and appreciation for the Westminster mission and institution
- Self-starter, capable of proactively pioneering and executing upon projects from start to finish with little guidance required

- This is a full time, non-exempt position, with 40 hours per week expected.
- This position may be performed remotely, Eastern time zone preferred.
- Approx. 10% travel for conferences and trips to campus is required
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects up to 40 pounds
