Job Summary & Responsibilities

(1) Communicate with customer very closely, and find their demand and required improvement by native Japanese Language.

(2) Work with on-site field service engineers to ensure smooth operation of cutting edge optical metrology instruments, including tool installation, system evaluation.

(3) Perform experiments to characterize tool/subcomponent performance; take Applications ownership of escalations.

(4) Establish and broaden the customer base with superior service by resolving their complex technical issues and managing escalations of those issues

(5) Provide application recipe, system operation support and training to customers directly.

(6) Train customers on tool operation and generate training material if necessary.

(7) Work collaboratively with service team cross functionally to do trouble shooting on the tools.

(8) Providing new system technology information and develop new application with customer.

(9) Can be support Japan more than 5 year, expecting 10 years over.

(10) Allow more than 30% travel to customer site.

Qualifications

• Native Japanese speaker and writer.

• The candidate should expect long hours of working in clean room environment.

• The candidate must be self-motivated, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good planning, troubleshooting, and organizational skills are essential.

• Account management experience is a plus.

• Ability of actively collaborate with FSE and customers for facing project.

• Ability to systemically troubleshoot problems to root cause and identify and thoroughly test solutions.

• Master or Doctor degree required in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.

• Need to have motivative for new technology.

• Allow to attend international conference call with internal team.

• Initial few months will be OJT and Training in Japan and/or overseas area.
